NEW YORK, NY — Daisy Chain Biannual announces the appointment of Elliot Soriano as Fashion Market Director. In this role, Soriano joins the publication’s leadership, overseeing its engagement with the contemporary fashion market and shaping how the publication operates within it. The appointment coincides with the development of Daisy Chain’s second edition and is part of a larger initiative by the editors to strengthen the publication’s position leadership.
“Elliot is exceptionally talented, which is why I asked them to come on board,” says Editorial Director Charles Daigrepont Desselle. “Phillip and I value their perspective and trust their ability to navigate the field with precision and independence.”
Soriano brings fifteen years of industry experience to the masthead, having begun their career at VOGUE under the mentorship of Tonne Goodman and Virginia Smith. Their professional history includes coverage of European, American, and Contemporary RTW markets for Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, and Teen Vogue, alongside a tenure as first assistant to Brandon Maxwell, managing world tours and red carpet wardrobe for Lady Gaga.
Soriano’s background in Fine Arts and Sculpture, combined with their experience navigating market relations for major houses including Gucci, Prada, and Saint Laurent, reinforces the publication’s ability to operate at the highest level while maintaining editorial control.
