DAISY CHAIN BIANNUAL ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL EDITION

NEW YORK, NY — Daisy Chain Biannual announces the release of its inaugural edition, a 192-page volume structured around commissioned image-making set against the backdrop of art history. The publication situates canonical art photography in dialogue with a selection of images focused on the intersection of art and fashion, privileging the image as art itself rather than a promotional product.

Commissioning of new work is central. Each contribution is presented as work in its own right, created independently of commercial considerations. Each edition presents a playful mix of new and seasoned talent, while the curation pinpoints the current moment as well as the foundation it springs from. Previously overlooked work is celebrated, and the canon is reinvestigated.

The inaugural edition, titled The Space Issue, includes original commissions from Thibaut Grevet, Shaniqwa Jarvis, Kuba Ryniewicz, Emma Summerton, and Zeng Wu, as well as reproduced work by Hans Feurer, Nick Knight, Mert and Marcus, Viviane Sassen, and others.

Availability

The inaugural edition is available through selected retail partners and directly through Daisy Chain Biannual.

PHOTOGRAPHY. FASHION. EPHEMERA.

Daisy Chain Biannual is a New York–based 192-page publication co-founded by Phillip Bogart Duncan and Charles Daigrepont Desselle. Each edition invites a mix of unexpected and established contributors, juxtaposing canonical figures and contemporaries formed within different structures of recognition. Never indulgent, the selection pinpoints the current moment as well as the foundation it springs from. Elsewhere, fashion photography is promotional product; in Daisy Chain, it is the art itself.
